Ingredients: 

  • 2 cups quick oats or old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 2 cups whole milk, or non-dairy milk
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen berries, optional, for topping
  • 1/4 cup nut butter, like peanut, almond, or sunflower (optional) for topping
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts or seeds (optional) for topping

Method: 

  1. Combine the oats, milk, honey, vanilla and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Divide the mixture evenly among 4 resealable jars or containers.
  3. Seal jars and refrigerate for at least 6 hours (or overnight).
  4. Open jars and add toppings like berries, nut butter, chopped nuts or seeds to each jar, as desired. Serve cold or warm in the microwave.
