Healthy Pantries
Stocked with the Good Stuff
To get healthy options into homes, we work to get healthy options into food pantries. And it all starts at the food bank level. The PA Department of Health has partnered with our team to increase the inventory of nutritious foods available at our member food banks. Then, dietitians and educators in our network partner with food pantries to help them stock more of these options.

Healthy Pantry x PA Eats
A Delicious Partnership
Since 2019, we’ve been working with PA Eats to develop a collection of well-rounded recipes called Nourish PA. A registered dietician helped us set nutrition criteria up front—and we’ve been cooking up scrumptious ideas ever since.
Our process
- Our nutrition educators work with participating pantries to pinpoint ingredients that need promotion
- PA Eats recruits volunteer chefs to create recipes around those ingredients
- PA Eats provides the recipes and videos for our team to distribute through food pantries and online
Our Impact
When your goal is to help people improve their habits, it can be tricky to quantify results.
But we’re certainly proud of all the progress we’re making.
